Who We Are

Since 2005, our dedicated engineers and installation crews deliver and install steel structures to sites throughout the North and beyond. Supported by over 30 years' experience, our technicians guarantee safety and the effective, efficient delivery and installation of the finished product. With an enviable reputation for service in the Petrochemical, Process, Pharmaceutical and Nuclear Industries, we have a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency.

This experience means we can ensure that we meet your needs with the required expertise and knowledge, combined with our time-efficient service and no nonsense approach. Our team also has the available resources to undertake rectification and variations works, and can supply dedicated teams for these activities to ensure your programmes are maintained. Wendy Armstrong, Division Manager

Born and bred in Salford, on leaving school Wendy trained in production for a clothing outlet, then moved to Port Isaac in Cornwall, before taking time out to travel around Europe.

She met her husband Bill in 1985. He was involved in the construction industry and Wendy herself then became involved in the administration side of this sector. During this time, she gained a great deal of experience of a range of construction related areas such as; project costing, legislation, health and safety and accounts/payroll.

In the 1990’s Wendy helped set up a family steel erection business. She continued to be involved until 2005 when the business moved into a partnership with Employment Solutions, and she took on a key role in managing their steel structural division.

Outside work, Wendy has an interest in horses and dogs and keeps many of each on the farm where she lives in Astley.

Bill Armstrong, Division Manager

Toni Davis

Toni Davis was born in Manchester, Lancashire in 1985. Toni went to Plant Hill High School in Blackley, gaining nine GCSEs. On leaving school Toni went into full-time employment, starting out working for the Department for work and pensions (DWP) at their Salford Quays offices. From there Toni managed a Public House in Blackley for family, then in 2008 Toni worked in a dentist in Middleton and studied at Bury College at night to qualify as a Dental Nurse. Toni came to work for Employment Solutions Structural Steel as a Payroll Clerk in November 2015 and enjoys her job. Outside of work Toni enjoys long walks and exploring new places and spending time with her family.

Ian Raynor

Ian started working in the construction industry at an early age working as a laborer, which evolved into the steel industry. He has had a number of years' experience including projects ranging from portal frames, high-rise apartment/office blocks; bridge refurbs; building relocation; new build power station and rigging work from small-scale to heavy lifts division and structural concrete. His experience is vast working in a number of industries including petrochemical and nuclear. He is always keen to broaden his knowledge and experience and because of this has worked his way up in his career from his early days as a laborer, progressing to erector, then foreman, then supervisor and now site manager working on major projects throughout the UK.

Outside of work Ian likes to spend quality time with his family and boasts a passion for motorcycles.
